If you consider yourself a bit of a foodie, we’d like you to meet our Executive Chef, Peter Reffell. He comes all the way from the U.K. and brings 25 years experience in the food industry to Hudsons Coffee, having previously worked in cafes and Michelin star restaurants just to name a few.

Springhill Farm originated as a sheep and grain farming property near Bacchus Marsh, where the Barber family has farmed for two generations. The farm regularly hosted ‘country experiences’ for kindergarten and school children, where they could feed the animals, watch sheep being shorn and collect stalks of oats to observe, taste and smell the grain being processed before it was ground into flour. The childrens’ final taste of the country before heading home was the Springhill Farm muesli slice. It was the popularity of this modest muesli slice that fuelled the idea of moving the focus of the business to baking.
Today, Springhill Farm is still a family run business with second-generation operators continuing the tradition of baking tasty, honest treats, with a variety of delicious hedgehog, rocky road and finger slices – available at Hudsons Coffee stores Australia wide.
