Operations and Training:

A Comprehensive 4 x week training program is provided to all Franchise Partners prior to beginning in business.  Each Franchise Partner is then mentored & guided by a specialist Franchise Business Coach as your operations guide.

Supply Chain:

Hudsons has a selection of approved supplier partners, including coffee & milk, which help to contribute to our sensational coffee made every day.  We have a large range of approved products to choose from, high on quality and low on cost with our group buying power.

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A refreshed menu

The Hudsons menu is designed to be healthy, convenient and to be enjoyed with our world-class coffee. Take our most popular baked treat, for example. Our Mocha Hedgehog is flavoured with our Baristas Choice coffee, and has been for two decades.

2020 is about refreshing the Hudsons menu. For this, we’ll be working closely with our long-time suppliers like Spring Hill Farms and Braserie.

We have a range of internal & external resources available to help make the experience of buying a business as smooth as possible. We have a number of finance options available to help you secure finance for your store purchase, which includes our preferred partners at ANZ Bank and broker channels. Design Office founders Damien Mulvihill and Mark Simpson know a little bit about how to design a cafe. Melbourne’s Higher Ground – designed by Design Office – is a palace to coffee culture – a buzzing, split-level cafe in Melbourne’s CBD, Higher Ground is impressive and intimate at the same time. Now Design Office are bringing the learnings from projects like Melbourne’s Higher Ground and Filter and A.Baker in Canberra to Hudsons, starting with Brisbane’s George St. store in 2020.

For the designers behind some beautiful spaces, Mark and Damien don’t necessarily start with aesthetics. “The most important thing in hospitality are the things that you can’t see,” says Damien. “Getting the acoustics right, getting the light levels right.” So how a cafe actually works is central to their thinking. As Mark describes it, “the things the customers don’t think they’re noticing but they actually are.” And it’s not just the customers. A great cafe needs to work for the people behind the scenes. “At the end of the day we want to make sure these spaces work well for the people who are working there as well as for customers.”

What support will hudsons give me in setting up, owning and operating my business?

At hudsons, we believe that building strong relationships with our franchisees is key to a successful franchise network. For this reasons, hudsons has a strong support systems and people, to assist our franchisees at every stage of their franchise journey. We will provide you with a comprehensive training program where you will receive the tools and learn the skills to operate your hudsons store.

Access to our communications platform ‘ELLE’, and interactive website that will keep you informed of the latest products, support tools, staff training resources and allow you to network with other hudsons franchisees as well as a dedicated Franchise Consultant who will support you to maximize sales and increase your profitability.

I want to open a Hudsons store in my area is that possible?

Yes.  However each location for a Hudsons business is strategically determined, with our site selection process carefully managed by our team at Support Office.  There are many contributing factors that we consider when determining the best sites for our Hudsons Brand

What is the franchise fee and how much is it?

The Franchise Fee at Hudsons covers trademarks and represents your rights to do business under the brand name Hudsons.  It also covers the use of the Hudsons Logo and enables access to the Hudsons Operating Systems.  Our Franchise Fee is $60,000 + gst.

How much will it cost me to set up a
Hudsons store?

Every Hudsons store is different in shape, size and layout, which means that the set up costs for a Hudsons Store will vary from store to store.  Typically small foot print locations commence at approx $268k + gst right up to large format stores over $600k + gst.

How much are the royalties?

Are Royalties are charged on a monthly basis at 8% of gross sales.  All Franchise Partners also contribute to a marketing pool to give Hudsons the best possible marketing avenues to pursue in the view to promote customers to all stores.  This is 2% of gross sales
